100% onsite in Dayton, NJ Job Description: Systems Administrator is responsible for the implementation and support of hardware, software, EDI and ERP systems. Work with the internal business partners and external EDI customer suppliers to ensure proper function and accurate data. Keep customer orders on time and collaborate with other departments. Key Responsibilities: EDI Operations & Support Monitor daily EDI transactions, file transfers, and error logs. Troubleshoot failed transactions, mapping issues, and communication problems. Provide technical support for internal teams and trading partners. Mapping & Integration Develop, edit, and maintain EDI maps for documents such as 810, 850, 856, 997, etc. Work with integration platforms (e.g. Cleo) Coordinate with ERP systems (Blue Cherry) to ensure accurate data flow. Trading Partner Management Onboard new trading partners, define requirements, and establish connectivity (AS2, SFTP, VAN, API). Interpret partner specifications and update mappings as needed. Maintain documentation of partner profiles and EDI workflows. Manage relationship with 3PL West Coast ship point (Rialto) Infrastructure Management Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and server hardware. Monitor system performance, capacity, and reliability. Network & Security Manage firewalls, routers, switches, and VPN access. Implement and maintain security policies, including patch management and system hardening. Monitor for security breaches, vulnerabilities, and performance issues. User & Access Administration Create, manage, and troubleshoot user accounts, permissions, and group policies (Active Directory / Azure AD). Provide technical support for escalated IT issues. Backup & Disaster Recovery Configure and monitor backup solutions. Maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and minimal downtime. Perform regular system and data recovery tests. Documentation & Compliance Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and IT policies. Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, SOC 2 if relevant). Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). 25+ years of system administration experience. Strong knowledge of Windows Server Experience with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Familiarity with cloud platforms Preferred Skills Certifications such as CompTIA Network+/Security+/Server+, MCSA/MCSE, Cisco CCNA, or RHCSA/RHCE. Experience managing Office 365 / Microsoft 365 environments. Knowledge of SIEM, IDS/IPS, and modern cybersecurity tools. Soft Skills Ability to manage and mentor Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking. Excellent communication and documentation habits. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail. Collaborate with other departments and preserve friendly work environment.
