Pay Rate: $20.03/hour

Paladin Security is currently hiring Full-Time Security Guards to support operations at North York General Hospital – Leslie. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming healthcare environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate is professional, observant, and confident working in a fast-paced hospital setting while demonstrating empathy and strong communication skills.

• Conduct regular patrols of hospital grounds, including entrances, parking areas, and patient wards
• Monitor CCTV systems and alarms to ensure safety and policy compliance
• Control access to restricted areas and verify identification when required
• Respond to incidents and emergencies with professionalism and sound judgment
• Assist patients, staff, and visitors in a courteous and respectful manner
• De-escalate conflicts using appropriate non-violent crisis intervention techniques
• Complete accurate and detailed incident reports in accordance with Paladin protocols
• Collaborate with hospital personnel, first responders, and law enforcement as needed

Requirements

• Valid Security Guard License for the Province of Ontario
• Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C from a WSIB-approved provider
• Proof of two doses of COVID-19 vaccination
• Up-to-date immunization records for:
• Mumps
• Measles
• Rubella
• Varicella
• Two-step Tuberculosis (TB) skin test
• Valid G Class Driver's License
• Fluent in English (oral and written)
• Ability to work a Continental Rotating schedule (days/nights)

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field
