*HEART Auto Care has 3 locations and* is a progressive and busy shop that maintains a warm, supportive, and productive environment. We are looking for a skilled *Automotive Mechanic B+ Level for our Wilmette, IL location* who can perform major repairs and services. The best candidate will have the ability to service and repair most automotive makes and models.
*Starting at a minimum of $30-$35 but is negotiable depending on experience.*
*Job Overview:*
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Automotive Technician with at least a few years of shop experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a *strong mechanical *aptitude and be capable of performing essential repairs and maintenance services such as brake work, suspension, timing belts, *engine replacement, and transmission replacement.* While diagnostic skills are not a primary focus, the ability to handle general repair work efficiently is required.
*Responsibilities:*
* Perform brake system repairs and replacements.
* Handle suspension repairs and replacements.
* Replace timing belts and perform engine and transmission replacements.
* Ensure all work is completed accurately and meets quality standards.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
* Collaborate with team members to support overall shop operations.
* Follow company processes and procedures to ensure customer satisfaction.
*Requirements:*
* High School Diploma or Equivalent
* Valid driver's license
* ASE Certified a +
* Engine and Transmissions Experience a MUST
* Experience with Domestic and Foreign Cars, Hybrid and Electric a +
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in an automotive shop.
* Proficiency in performing brake, suspension, timing belt, engine, and transmission repairs.
* Strong mechanical skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Good communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
* Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
