Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is vital for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, and ensuring that our warehouse management system (WMS) accurately reflects stock levels. This includes monitoring stock rotation, identifying obsolete or slow-moving items, and implementing strategies to optimize inventory accuracy. You will also be involved in receiving and put-away processes to ensure proper stock placement. A strong understanding of logistics principles and a meticulous approach to detail are essential. Compliance with all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE are non-negotiable. While not primarily a physical role, some moderate Lifting may be required. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies in the WMS.
  • Monitor stock levels, identify aging inventory, and recommend actions.
  • Ensure accurate receiving and put-away of all inventory items.
  • Assist in developing and implementing inventory control procedures.
  • Maintain organized and accurate inventory records.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of PPE.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Ability to perform some Lifting and operate material handling equipment if necessary.
