Join our fast-paced fulfillment center in New York City, New York, as a Picker/Packer. This role is essential for ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You will be tasked with accurately locating and retrieving products from warehouse shelves, meticulously packing them to ensure they arrive in pristine condition, and preparing them for shipment. This position requires a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and a strong dedication to Safety. You can expect to be on your feet for most of your shift, involving frequent Walking and moderate Lifting. Strict adherence to all Safety protocols and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is non-negotiable. Your contribution is vital to the success of our logistics operations and customer satisfaction. We are looking for reliable, detail-oriented individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on order fulfillment sheets.
- Inspect items for quality and damage before packing.
- Package products securely for transit, using appropriate materials.
- Affix shipping labels and prepare packages for pickup.
- Maintain an orderly and clean workspace.
- Follow all established Safety guidelines and procedures.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as scanners and pallet jacks.
- Achieve daily performance targets for picking and packing.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in picking, packing, or warehouse work is beneficial.
- Capability to perform frequent Lifting (up to 40 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Commitment to Safety standards and wearing PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume logistics environment.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
