We are looking for a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our growing team in San Antonio, Texas. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all outbound shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. This role is vital to our logistics chain, ensuring products reach our customers on time and in perfect condition. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, verifying package contents, and coordinating with carriers. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety are essential. You will work closely with our warehouse associates and management to maintain optimal workflow. This position demands physical capability and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic warehouse setting. We emphasize adherence to all safety protocols and the correct use of PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation accurately.
- Verify outbound shipments against orders.
- Schedule pickups with shipping carriers.
- Load and unload shipments as needed.
- Maintain shipping records and logs.
- Communicate with internal teams and external carriers.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations.
- Assist with inventory and receiving as needed.
- Ability to handle lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping or logistics preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and order management systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting and standing.
