This role is essential for maintaining the flow of goods, from receiving through to shipping. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, transporting inventory to and from storage locations, and assisting with order picking and staging. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, excellent spatial awareness, and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures. A valid forklift certification is required. We emphasize a culture of safety, so adherence to all company safety policies and the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are mandatory. This position involves operating machinery in a busy warehouse environment and requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs periodically, though the primary focus is on skilled equipment operation. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move goods.
- Load and unload freight from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated warehouse locations.
- Stack and arrange products in a safe and organized manner.
- Conduct daily inspections and basic maintenance checks on forklift equipment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements as required.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient logistics operations.
- Promptly report any equipment issues or safety concerns.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs may be required.
