Grand Rapids, Michigan is looking for a dedicated Forklift Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials within our warehouse. Ensuring the efficient and safe handling of goods is paramount to our logistics operations. You will conduct daily inspections of your equipment, maintain a clean and orderly work environment, and strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating various types of forklifts and possess a strong understanding of warehouse safety best practices. This position involves regular Lifting of product and materials, so physical fitness is important. Your commitment to wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential and will be strictly monitored. We value reliability, efficiency, and a strong work ethic. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials
- Safely stack and store inventory
- Perform pre-shift equipment inspections
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety guidelines, including proper PPE usage
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation
- Support overall warehouse operations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Forklift Operator
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one
- Ability to perform consistent Lifting
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Team-oriented and able to follow instructions
