We are hiring a Receiving Clerk for our busy warehouse in Fort Worth, Texas. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all incoming shipments are accurately accounted for and processed efficiently. Your primary responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying contents against shipping documents, inspecting for damage, and properly stocking received goods. Safety is a top priority, and all employees receive comprehensive training on Safe handling practices and are provided with required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires physical dexterity and the ability to handle moderate Lifting of items. You will play a crucial role in the upstream segment of our Logistics operations, maintaining inventory accuracy from the moment goods enter our facility. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks efficiently and safely.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect shipments for any damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately document all received items into the inventory system.
- Move and stock received goods to their designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Support the overall efficiency of our Logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting and material handling.
- Familiarity with shipping documents and inventory systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and proper use of PPE.
- Basic understanding of Logistics and supply chain processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
