An exciting opportunity for an Order Picker is available in Baltimore, Maryland. This position is essential for our distribution center's success, ensuring that products are picked accurately and efficiently for customer orders. You will be responsible for navigating the warehouse, locating products using our inventory system, and preparing items for shipment. We are looking for someone who is physically fit, highly organized, and committed to workplace safety. Experience using hand-held scanners and a familiarity with warehouse logistics are advantageous. You will work collaboratively with team members to meet order fulfillment targets. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining accuracy and adhering to safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE. Your contribution is key to our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Retrieve products from designated warehouse locations.
- Double-check picked items for accuracy against order requirements.
- Transport picked items to the designated packing or staging area.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of picking areas.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper lifting techniques.
- Wear all required PPE consistently and correctly.
- Identify and report any stock discrepancies or damages.
- Contribute to overall warehouse efficiency and logistics goals.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in order picking or a similar warehouse role.
- Must be able to perform frequent lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and logistics operations.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of inventory management systems.
- Reliable and punctual.
