Become a key player in our Houston, Texas fulfillment center as an Order Picker! We are looking for motivated individuals to join our dynamic logistics team. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately pick customer orders from warehouse locations using scanning devices or pick lists. This role is vital for ensuring timely and correct order fulfillment, directly impacting customer satisfaction. The job requires you to be physically active, spending most of your shift on your feet, walking and navigating our warehouse. You will encounter various products, necessitating regular lifting and movement of goods. Safety is our utmost priority; therefore, strict adherence to all company safety regulations and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick specified items from warehouse shelves based on order details.
- Use handheld scanners or pick sheets to guide picking process.
- Stage picked items correctly for packing and subsequent shipment.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of all picked orders.
- Maintain an orderly and clean workstation and surrounding work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Meet established performance metrics for picking speed and accuracy.
- Identify and report any inventory discrepancies or stock issues to a supervisor.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks as needed.
- Contribute positively to team goals and a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior warehouse or order picking experience is beneficial.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended durations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics operations and safety standards, including PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
