Are you an experienced and safety-conscious Reach Truck Operator looking for a challenging opportunity in Omaha, Nebraska? We are hiring immediately to fill a vital role in our fast-paced logistics environment. As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will be picking orders, loading and unloading trailers, and performing other warehouse duties as assigned. This role demands precision, a strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting. Your primary focus will be on material handling and ensuring the smooth flow of goods throughout the warehouse. Key responsibilities include:
- Operating a reach truck safely and efficiently to transport materials.
- Loading and unloading trucks and containers.
- Picking and staging orders for shipment.
- Stocking and retrieving inventory from high-level racking.
- Performing pre-operation checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records through proper scanning and data entry.
- Adhering strictly to all company safety policies and regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assisting with general warehouse duties, which may include some manual lifting.
- Participating in daily team meetings to discuss operational goals and safety concerns.
- Contributing to a productive and positive work atmosphere within the logistics department.
