We are seeking meticulous and energetic Order Pickers to join our fast-paced logistics facility in San Francisco, California. As an Order Picker, you will be essential to our operation, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently gathered and prepared for shipment. Your duties will include navigating the warehouse, identifying items, using scanning technology to track inventory, and packaging products with care. This role demands strong attention to detail, physical dexterity for frequent lifting, and a unwavering commitment to safety protocols. You will be an integral part of our supply chain, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from designated warehouse locations based on pick lists.
- Utilize handheld scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track items picked and update inventory records.
- Package items securely for shipment, ensuring they are protected during transit.
- Operate pallet jacks and other manual material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area, adhering to all facility standards.
- Follow all company safety guidelines, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform regular checks on equipment and report any necessary maintenance.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment duties as assigned.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to meet daily order fulfillment targets.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the logistics process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an order picking or warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret order pick lists and product information.
- Experience with RF scanning devices and basic computer literacy.
- Physical capability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, along with reaching, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team.
- Strong commitment to safety procedures and a safety-conscious mindset.
- Must be comfortable working in a busy, urban logistics setting.
