We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics hub in Kansas City, Missouri. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials and inventory within our warehouse. You will operate various types of forklifts to load and unload trucks, move goods to and from storage areas, and assist with order fulfillment. A keen understanding of warehouse operations and a strong commitment to Safety are paramount. We provide all necessary PPE and adhere to rigorous Safety standards. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled operators to contribute to a streamlined Logistics operation.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and placement.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklift equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and procedures, including site-specific protocols and the correct use of PPE .
- Follow safe Lifting and handling practices for all materials.
- Support the broader Logistics team with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks).
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and Logistics procedures.
- Excellent understanding of forklift Safety principles and practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to wearing all required PPE and following safety guidelines meticulously.
