We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in St. Louis, Missouri. This role is essential for the efficient movement and storage of materials within our warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, unload, and store products. You will also assist with general warehouse duties, including inventory management and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This position requires a valid forklift certification, a strong commitment to Safety , and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Your role is crucial to our overall Logistics operations. We provide all necessary PPE and ongoing training to ensure your safety and productivity. While forklift operation is the primary focus, some manual tasks may require Lifting of items up to 30 pounds. We are looking for a reliable, safety-conscious individual eager to contribute to our team's success.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
- Move, stack, and stage inventory within the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and record keeping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet operational goals.
- Participate in training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and Logistics procedures.
- Strong understanding of forklift Safety regulations.
- Ability to perform occasional Lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
