We are seeking a skilled Inventory Control Specialist for our Los Angeles, California location. This critical role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our inventory management systems. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory, including conducting regular audits, reconciling discrepancies, managing stock levels, and implementing process improvements. You will work closely with our operations and Logistics teams to maintain optimal stock levels, minimize waste, and ensure product availability. This position requires a high degree of accuracy, strong analytical capabilities, and a deep understanding of warehouse management best practices. Your expertise will be vital in driving operational excellence and cost savings. Adherence to strict Safety protocols and the use of provided PPE are mandatory. While direct heavy Lifting is infrequent, the ability to move and handle inventory items, occasionally up to 30 pounds, is necessary for audits and checks. We are looking for a proactive individual who can identify and implement improvements in inventory accuracy and control.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Develop, implement, and refine inventory control procedures.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and reduce stockouts.
- Manage inventory adjustments, transfers, and returns in the WMS.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and staff to ensure accurate inventory data.
- Monitor inventory aging and recommend actions for stock rotation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
- Ensure compliance with all company Safety standards and regulations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse and supply chain.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or logistics.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of Logistics and supply chain principles.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and Safety best practices.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move inventory up to 30 pounds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
