We are seeking a reliable and organized Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our dynamic logistics team in Las Vegas, Nevada. This critical role ensures the seamless flow of goods into and out of our facility. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and coordinating with carriers. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments accurately.
- Verify packing slips against received goods, noting any discrepancies.
- Prepare and stage outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Maintain organized and efficient storage of inventory in designated areas.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with stock management.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment.
- Assist with customer service inquiries related to shipping and receiving.
- Contribute to improving overall logistics efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is essential.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with various shipping carriers and their requirements.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of logistics principles and supply chain flow.
Physical Demands:
This position requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of items up to 50 pounds. The role involves extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Employees must be diligent in following safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and the consistent use of required PPE, to ensure a safe and productive experience within our logistics operations.
