We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator for our Cincinnati, Ohio facility. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials throughout the warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from designated areas, and performing routine equipment checks. A strong focus on safety, precision, and efficiency is essential for success. You will play a critical part in our logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate movement of inventory. This position requires adherence to all safety protocols and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Transport inventory to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any defects or issues.
- Ensure proper stacking and storage of materials to maximize space and prevent damage.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from hazards.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and record-keeping as required.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Follow all guidelines for material handling and logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Forklift Operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures, including specific PPE requirements.
- Understanding of logistics principles and inventory management.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
