We are looking for a dedicated Forklift Operator to join our growing logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This position involves the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to manage the movement of goods within our distribution center. You will play a key role in our supply chain, ensuring that products are handled correctly from receipt to shipment. Responsibilities include transporting materials, stacking inventory, and assisting with order picking and packing. A strong emphasis on safety and adherence to all operational guidelines is essential. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to perform frequent Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials.
- Move products and inventory within the warehouse.
- Stack and organize goods in designated storage areas.
- Assist in receiving and shipping operations.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklift equipment.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment issues.
- Ensure compliance with all warehouse safety regulations and the use of appropriate PPE.
- Contribute to the efficiency of our logistics network.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace.
- Participate in team meetings and training programs.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience operating forklifts. Certification in forklift operation is required. Capability for consistent Lifting of up to 50 lbs. Knowledge of warehouse safety practices. Keen attention to detail and spatial awareness. Ability to thrive in a busy logistics environment. Must be reliable and punctual. Commitment to upholding safety standards.
