Join our team as a Material Handler in Indianapolis, Indiana, where you'll play a vital role in our warehouse operations. You will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. This position requires a strong understanding of material flow and the ability to operate various types of equipment. Responsibilities:
- Move materials from receiving to storage, and from storage to point of use.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely (certification may be required).
- Identify and label materials for tracking and inventory purposes.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through diligent scanning and documentation.
- Ensure that materials are stored correctly to prevent damage and ensure easy access.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including wearing required PPE.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role. Experience with forklift operation is highly desirable. Ability to perform frequent lifting of materials up to 70 lbs. Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and logistics. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and possess good communication skills. Reliability and a strong commitment to safety are essential for success in this position. This role is fundamental to our operations and requires individuals who are detail-oriented and productive.
