Join our thriving logistics operation in Miami, Florida, as a Receiving Clerk. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring that all goods are received, inspected, and processed accurately. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying packing slips against received items, inspecting for damages, and properly documenting all inbound inventory. You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our warehouse stock and facilitating a seamless flow of goods into our facility. A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this position. You will be expected to utilize warehouse technology, such as scanners and inventory management systems, to track incoming products efficiently. We prioritize a safe working environment and require all employees to wear designated personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety vests and gloves. This position requires moderate physical exertion, including lifting items that can weigh up to 40 lbs. Your contribution is critical to our supply chain management and overall operational success. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the contents of shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspect all incoming goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Document all received items accurately in the inventory management system.
- Tag and label received products appropriately.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and safe receiving area, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments regarding receiving issues.
- Follow all guidelines for safe lifting and material handling.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed.
