Job Summary:
Our expanding logistics company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is looking for a meticulous Inventory Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts, and reconciling discrepancies. Your attention to detail is paramount as you will ensure the integrity of our stock levels, which is critical for efficient warehouse operations and timely order fulfillment. You will work closely with the warehouse and management teams to identify and resolve inventory issues. Adherence to all safety protocols, including proper handling of materials and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is a core requirement. This position offers a stable career path within the supply chain and logistics industry.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Record and verify inventory data using warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
  • Track the movement of goods within the warehouse.
  • Receive, document, and store incoming inventory.
  • Prepare inventory reports for management.
  • Ensure proper organization and labeling of all stock.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Utilize appropriate lifting techniques when handling inventory.
  • Wear and maintain all required PPE, such as safety shoes and gloves.

What We're Looking For:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar inventory control role.
  • Proficiency in data entry and inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
  • Commitment to using PPE consistently.
  • Good organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a logistics environment.
