Join our bustling Chicago, Illinois warehouse as a Picker/Packer! This role is at the heart of our operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for picking products from warehouse shelves based on order requirements, often utilizing RF scanners, and then accurately packing these items for shipment. Precision and speed are key to success in this dynamic logistics environment. You'll also assist with maintaining inventory accuracy, potentially participating in cycle counts, and ensuring that your work area is kept clean and orderly. Safety is our utmost priority, and strict adherence to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE, is mandatory. This position involves a significant amount of physical activity, including regular standing, walking, and moderate to heavy Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from inventory according to customer orders.
- Use RF scanners and other technology to fulfill orders efficiently.
- Pack items securely and appropriately for shipping.
- Verify order accuracy before sealing packages.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including PPE usage.
- Assist with inventory control and other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous picking, packing, or warehouse experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting and stand for long periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse operations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
