We are looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this critical role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the receiving process. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying the contents of incoming orders against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately documenting all received items. Proper handling and staging of merchandise are essential to support the smooth flow of our logistics operations. Maintaining a clean and safe receiving area is a priority, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE, is expected. This position requires physical activity, including moderate to heavy Lifting, and prolonged standing. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks and trailers.
- Verify received goods against packing slips and purchase orders for accuracy.
- Inspect shipments for any damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received inventory into the warehouse management system.
- Stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including PPE requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory, or a similar logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy Lifting.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
