Join our hardworking team as a Material Handler in St. Louis, Missouri! We are seeking a reliable and physically capable individual to manage the movement of materials throughout our warehouse. This role is essential for maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring operational efficiency. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving materials to and from storage areas, and operating various warehouse equipment. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Move materials to designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy by properly placing and identifying materials.
- Conduct routine inspections of material handling equipment.
- Ensure that work areas are clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Support team members in various warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required.
- Valid forklift operator certification is a significant asset.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs, on a regular basis.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Team player with good communication skills.
