Join our fast-paced warehouse team in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as a Picker/Packer! This role is fundamental to our operations, ensuring accurate and efficient fulfillment of customer orders. You will be responsible for picking items from inventory, preparing them for shipment, and ensuring they meet our quality standards. This position requires an energetic individual with a strong focus on detail and a commitment to **safety**. Working within our **logistics** network, you'll contribute directly to customer satisfaction. We are dedicated to providing a secure and productive work environment for our employees. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations according to order specifications.
- Use picking devices (e.g., RF scanners) to verify items and quantities.
- Inspect picked items for any damage or defects.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Apply shipping labels and any required documentation to packages.
- Stage completed orders for the shipping department.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and **safety**-compliant work station.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Adhere to all **PPE** requirements and follow established **safety** procedures.
- Perform **lifting** of items up to 40 lbs to retrieve products from various levels.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous picking and packing experience is a strong advantage.
- Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout the warehouse.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology.
- Must be capable of **lifting** up to 40 lbs repeatedly.
- Knowledge of warehouse **safety** practices and **PPE** usage.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good time management and ability to work in a team.
- A proactive approach to **safety** and efficiency is required.
