We are hiring a Picker/Packer to support our growing logistics operations in Madison, Wisconsin. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of customer orders. Your primary duties will include locating items within the warehouse, picking them according to order specifications, and carefully packing them for safe shipment. Maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to all Safety guidelines, and consistently wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are crucial aspects of this role. The position involves regular physical activity, including significant Lifting and standing, so a good level of stamina is required. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick orders from designated warehouse locations.
- Inspect products for defects before packing.
- Pack items securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling and staging.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Follow all company Safety protocols and procedures.
- Operate hand scanners and other warehouse equipment.
- Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy standards.
- Assist other team members as needed within the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order fulfillment role is preferred.
- Ability to perform consistent Lifting (up to 45 lbs) and manual tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to Safety and proper use of PPE.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
