We are looking for a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to manage incoming shipments at our logistics hub in San Jose, California. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing all incoming goods, ensuring they are correctly documented and stored. Your meticulous nature and understanding of warehouse procedures are essential for maintaining the integrity of our inventory and the efficiency of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record all received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label incoming inventory as required.
- Move received goods to appropriate staging or storage areas.
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve any receiving issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, ensuring safety compliance.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, including proper lifting techniques and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliations as needed.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain functions of the facility.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic computer applications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and inspection.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics procedures.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Understanding and adherence to safety regulations and the use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
