We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Portland, Oregon. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring timely loading and unloading of trucks, accurate stocking of inventory, and overall organization of the warehouse floor. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up) to move, pick, stack, and transport materials.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and trailers.
- Inspect forklifts daily for safety and maintenance, reporting any issues immediately.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
- Follow all company procedures for material handling and storage.
- Ensure accuracy in order picking and put-away processes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity goals.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
