We are looking for a diligent and organized Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is pivotal in managing the flow of goods into and out of our warehouse. You will be responsible for the accurate processing of all incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and invoices, and ensuring proper documentation. For outgoing shipments, you will prepare items for dispatch, ensure correct labeling, and arrange for transportation, coordinating with carriers to meet delivery schedules. A strong understanding of **logistics** and inventory management is beneficial. You will operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move materials efficiently and safely. Maintaining a clean, organized, and **safe** work area is paramount, along with strict adherence to all company **safety** policies and the mandatory use of **PPE**. This position requires the ability to perform **lifting** of materials weighing up to 70 lbs regularly. You will be instrumental in maintaining accurate inventory records through diligent receiving and shipping procedures. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately document all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Prepare goods for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and staging.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through diligent receiving and shipping processes.
- Ensure compliance with all **safety** regulations and **PPE** requirements.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of **logistics** operations.
- Assist with **lifting** and moving of materials up to 70 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with shipping documentation and procedures.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to **lift** and move heavy objects (up to 70 lbs).
- Understanding of **logistics** and supply chain management.
- Commitment to workplace **safety** and proper **PPE** usage.
