We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators for our Huntsville, Alabama distribution center. This is a crucial role in our logistics operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout the warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to transport materials, load and unload trucks, and assist with inventory management. A valid forklift certification and a strong commitment to safety are required. You will work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to follow instructions precisely. We emphasize adherence to all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE. This position offers competitive compensation and the opportunity to be part of a growing logistics team.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload products from trucks and trailers.
- Transport inventory to and from storage areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and put-away tasks.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after shifts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all warehouse safety rules and procedures.
- Adhere to all guidelines regarding PPE.
- Ability to perform manual lifting tasks as needed, up to 30 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents.
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
- Physical ability to perform tasks, including standing and occasional lifting.
- Understanding of logistics operations.
- Reliable and punctual.
