We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in San Antonio, Texas. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move products to and from storage areas, and assist with order fulfillment and inventory management. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift operator certification, a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, and a keen eye for detail. Experience operating various types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up) is preferred. You will be responsible for conducting daily equipment inspections and ensuring the equipment is maintained in good working order. A commitment to adhering to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is non-negotiable. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment and requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, although the primary focus is on safe equipment operation. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and other vehicles.
- Transport products to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Stack and store materials according to warehouse layout and safety guidelines.
- Perform pre-operation checks and routine maintenance on forklifts.
- Ensure all lifting and moving is done safely and without damage to products or property.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with inventory control and stocktaking as required.
- Support overall logistics operations and contribute to team goals.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion.
