We are searching for a proactive and organized Warehouse Coordinator to manage operations at our facility in Columbus, Ohio. This leadership role involves overseeing daily warehouse activities, managing inventory, coordinating staff, and ensuring efficient logistics flow. Responsibilities include supervising receiving and shipping, maintaining accurate records, implementing safety protocols, and optimizing warehouse processes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence. You will be instrumental in driving efficiency and productivity within our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff in daily operations.
- Oversee inventory management, including cycle counts and discrepancy resolution.
- Manage receiving and shipping processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Implement and enforce all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Train new employees on warehouse operations, safety, and logistics best practices.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
- Optimize workflow and space utilization within the warehouse.
- Liaise with other departments and external partners regarding logistics.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and promote a strong safety culture.
- Manage and maintain warehouse equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse coordination or supervision.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Expertise in safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Understanding of supply chain and logistics operations.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
