Join our dedicated team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, as a Material Handler! This role is essential for the effective management of materials within our logistics and warehousing operations. You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other equipment to move, locate, replenish, and stage inventory. Key duties include loading and unloading trucks, ensuring accurate inventory placement, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse. A strong commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE is paramount. The successful candidate will possess excellent physical stamina, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery for material handling.
- Load and unload goods from transport vehicles.
- Move and stack materials in designated warehouse areas.
- Replenish inventory stock as needed.
- Stage outgoing shipments for dispatch.
- Verify counts and check for damages on received and shipped goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper wearing of PPE.
- Participate actively in safety training and promote a culture of safety in logistics.
- Ensure efficient handling and movement of all materials.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety best practices.
- Familiarity with inventory control and logistics procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented and reliable.
- Commitment to using PPE at all times.
