We are looking for a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. This critical role ensures the integrity of our inventory data, supporting seamless logistics operations. You will be responsible for tracking stock, conducting audits, and implementing strategies to minimize discrepancies and prevent loss. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventory checks.
- Investigate and reconcile any discrepancies in inventory records.
- Update and maintain inventory data within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Analyze inventory turnover rates and stock status to identify slow-moving or obsolete items.
- Develop and propose improvements to inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels, ensuring adequate supply while avoiding overstocking.
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to resolve inventory-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Prepare detailed inventory reports for management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in inventory management or control, preferably in a logistics setting.
- Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management tools.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety standards and the importance of PPE.
- Physical capacity for some movement within the warehouse and occasional lifting.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
