We are looking for a skilled and experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our dedicated logistics team in Detroit, Michigan. In this specialized role, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to efficiently move, store, and retrieve materials at various heights within our warehouse facilities. Your primary duties will involve navigating narrow aisles, safely stacking and unstacking pallets, and supporting inbound and outbound logistics operations. Maintaining a high level of safety is essential, and you will be required to strictly adhere to all company safety protocols and regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). A valid certification for reach truck operation is a must. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to ensure timely order fulfillment and accurate inventory management. Regular inspection and maintenance checks of the reach truck are expected to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment is crucial. We value individuals who are dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to operational excellence. Previous experience operating reach trucks in a high-volume logistics setting is highly preferred. This role requires excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. You will be instrumental in maintaining the flow of goods through our distribution center. We provide ongoing training to ensure you stay up-to-date with the latest safety standards and operational techniques. Your role is critical to the success of our logistics network. - Safely operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve products.
- Navigate narrow aisles and operate at elevated heights.
- Load and unload materials from racks and trailers.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks and routine maintenance on the reach truck.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate stock placement.
- Ensure all items are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Support overall logistics and warehouse efficiency through effective operation.
