Join our growing logistics team as a Material Handler in Charlotte, North Carolina! This role is essential for the smooth operation of our warehouse, involving the movement and organization of materials. You will be responsible for handling, storing, and distributing various types of inventory. The ideal candidate is reliable, physically fit, and has a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. This position requires the ability to operate material handling equipment and follow instructions precisely. Your contribution will directly impact the speed and accuracy of our fulfillment processes. You will work collaboratively with other team members to ensure all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard. Understanding the importance of proper material handling techniques is key. We expect all employees to prioritize Safety above all else. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Organize and stack materials in designated storage areas.
- Receive and inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies.
- Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow all instructions regarding Lifting and safe material movement.
Requirements:
Ability to perform frequent Lifting (up to 60 lbs). Prior experience with material handling equipment is a plus. Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team. Reliability and punctuality are essential. Knowledge of Safety procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the logistics industry.
