Our Tampa, Florida location is seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the receiving process. Your responsibilities will include verifying delivery contents against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, accurately recording received items into our inventory system, and coordinating with suppliers and internal departments. A strong attention to detail and organizational skills are paramount for success. You will play a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory levels, which is essential for our overall logistics operations. We are committed to providing a safe working environment and require all employees to follow strict safety procedures, including the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position may involve moderate lifting and physical activity. Experience with scanning equipment and inventory management software is highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately.
- Inspect goods for damages and discrepancies.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders and invoices.
- Enter received goods into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label inventory items appropriately.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding shipments.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in receiving or inventory control preferred.
- Proficiency in using scanning equipment and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and PPE usage.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
