Über
Lead our warehouse operations as a Warehouse Supervisor in Des Moines, Iowa. We are seeking an experienced and capable leader to oversee daily activities, manage staff, and ensure operational excellence. This role demands strong leadership qualities, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of warehouse management and logistics. You will be responsible for motivating your team, optimizing workflow, and implementing best practices to enhance productivity and Safety. Your focus will be on maintaining inventory accuracy, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring a secure and compliant work environment. This position involves overseeing tasks that require significant Lfiting and movement of goods, and you will be expected to set a high standard for Safe practices, including the mandatory use of PPE. You will be a key player in our supply chain and logistics success.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of the warehouse team.
- Implement and enforce operational policies and Safety procedures.
- Manage inventory control and ensure accuracy.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a positive team environment.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements.
- Conduct regular Safety inspections and address any potential hazards.
- Oversee the proper use and availability of PPE.
- Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage Lfiting and material handling operations, ensuring adherence to Safety standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS).
- Demonstrated commitment to Safety and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to manage teams and motivate performance.
- Experience with overseeing Lfiting operations and ensuring staff safety.
- Must be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
