Are you an organized and detail-oriented individual? Join our Milwaukee, Wisconsin team as an Inventory Control Specialist. This role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, a cornerstone of our logistics operations. You will be responsible for overseeing inventory levels, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to ensure stock accuracy. Your work will involve using inventory management software, analyzing data, and collaborating with warehouse staff to resolve any inventory-related issues. This position requires a methodical approach, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining a well-organized and efficient warehouse. While not as physically demanding as some other warehouse roles, there will be instances requiring lifting and moving of inventory. Ensuring a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and utilizing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is also part of your responsibilities. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using WMS software.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams.
- Assist in managing stock rotation and preventing obsolescence.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use appropriate PPE.
- Generate inventory reports as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (WMS) and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and best practices.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the use of PPE.
- Ability to perform tasks involving occasional lifting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
