We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our Richmond, Virginia facility. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader responsible for managing a team of warehouse associates, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high standards of productivity and accuracy. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse logistics, inventory management, and a commitment to safety protocols. You will be instrumental in training new staff, conducting performance reviews, and implementing process improvements to optimize operations. Your responsibilities will include scheduling, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and resolving any operational issues that may arise. A key focus will be on ensuring all team members adhere to company policies and safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ability to motivate and guide a team effectively is paramount. This position involves regular lifting and the physical demands associated with warehouse environments. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record in warehouse supervision. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff.
- Ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Train and mentor warehouse associates.
- Enforce safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness.
- Monitor equipment usage and ensure proper maintenance.
- Implement and improve warehouse processes.
- Handle staff scheduling and performance management.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or a degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory management systems.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and the use of PPE.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting.
