We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, implementing inventory control procedures, and ensuring that all inventory data is accurate and up-to-date in our WMS (Warehouse Management System). The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to upholding rigorous safety standards. This position requires significant attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. You will collaborate with warehouse associates, supervisors, and management to identify and resolve inventory issues promptly. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management principles is essential. Responsibilities include:
- Performing regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Implementing and enforcing inventory control policies and procedures.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement in inventory management.
- Ensuring proper storage and handling of all inventory items.
- Assisting with receiving and shipping documentation related to inventory.
- Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Supporting other warehouse functions as needed, which may involve some manual lifting.
- Contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
