We are seeking dedicated and motivated Order Pickers to join our dynamic logistics team in Huntsville, Alabama. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. Your primary responsibility will be to pick specified items from warehouse shelves, prepare them for shipment, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety protocols. You will work closely with inventory management systems to track order progress and report any discrepancies. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order lists and pick sheets.
- Utilize handheld scanners and other warehouse technology to track inventory and update order status.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring product integrity during transit.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area according to company standards.
- Perform regular checks of equipment and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as required.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily order fulfillment targets.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of warehouse procedures and logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and pick lists.
- Proficiency in using scanning devices and basic computer skills.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of safety procedures and adherence to them.
