We are seeking a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our distribution center in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is essential for managing the smooth flow of goods out of our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of preparing shipments, from documentation to carrier coordination. You will ensure that orders are accurate, correctly packaged, and dispatched efficiently. A proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills are key. We are committed to a safe working environment and require all employees to follow Safety protocols and use provided PPE . Responsibilities:
- Process and document all outbound shipments accurately.
- Confirm shipment details against order information.
- Maintain organized shipping records and generate necessary reports.
- Liaise with couriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Operate shipping stations and related equipment.
- Ensure packages are properly labeled and secured for transit.
- Adhere to strict Safety standards, including correct Lifting techniques and the mandatory use of PPE .
- Support the broader Logistics team in achieving departmental goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse role is advantageous.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Exceptional organizational abilities and a high level of accuracy.
- Must be able to perform Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of Logistics best practices.
- Dedication to maintaining a safe work environment and utilizing all required PPE .
