We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in a warehouse environment, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations. You will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment for your team. This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to motivate and guide warehouse staff. You will play a crucial part in managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and ensuring that all warehouse operations align with company policies and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse personnel.
- Ensure the efficient and safe handling of all incoming and outgoing goods.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks.
- Train and mentor new and existing warehouse staff on best practices and safety procedures.
- Implement and enforce company policies and safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Monitor workflow and productivity to identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or vocational training preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse supervision or a related leadership role.
- Proven experience with logistics and supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software is a plus.
