Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after each shift for safety and functionality.
- Organize inventory in designated warehouse areas, ensuring accessibility and safety.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and hazard identification.
- Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 60 lbs) when necessary.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Excellent eye-hand coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using required PPE.
- Good communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
