We are looking for a certified and experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our advanced logistics center in Durham, North Carolina. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within our warehouse. Your expertise in handling materials is essential for maintaining optimal inventory levels and ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain. This position requires a keen understanding of warehouse Safety procedures, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move pallets and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks as required.
- Accurately place and retrieve inventory from high-level racking systems.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on the reach truck to ensure optimal Safety and functionality.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by ensuring proper placement and condition of goods.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety rules and regulations.
- Proper use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including manual Lifting when necessary.
- Understand and contribute to the overall logistics flow and efficiency.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification and proven experience operating a reach truck.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of (Specify number, e.g., 1-2) years of experience in a warehouse environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be able to wear and use required PPE.
- Knowledge of basic logistics and inventory management principles.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
