Job Summary:
Our Durham, North Carolina location is looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and managing inventory control procedures, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and optimizing stock levels. Your work will directly impact the efficiency of our logistics operations and the satisfaction of our customers. A strong understanding of inventory management systems and a commitment to accuracy are essential. This position requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and adherence to safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal inventory positioning.
  • Work with warehouse staff to ensure accurate receiving and put-away processes.
  • Generate reports on inventory accuracy and status.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and sales departments to manage inventory flow.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper handling of materials.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics supply chain.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and software. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics. Understanding of safety protocols and PPE requirements. Ability to perform moderate Lifting as needed. Good communication and organizational skills. Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or a related field is preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
