Join our team in Seattle, Washington, as a Receiving Clerk and play a vital role in our supply chain management. This position is responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming inventory. Your duties will include inspecting deliveries, verifying contents against order documents, and reporting any discrepancies. We are looking for an organized and meticulous individual who can ensure the integrity of our inventory data. Safety is paramount, and all employees are expected to follow strict protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role may involve some Lifting and requires the ability to work effectively in a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accept and unload incoming shipments accurately and safely.
- Visually inspect all incoming goods for damage or defects.
- Confirm quantities and item details against purchase orders.
- Record receiving information in the company's inventory system.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or damages to management.
- Prepare received goods for distribution or storage.
- Maintain the tidiness and organization of the receiving dock.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Collaborate with logistics and purchasing teams.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies regarding receiving operations.
Qualifications:
Experience in a receiving or warehouse clerk position is beneficial. Capability for occasional Lifting (up to 30 lbs). Strong analytical and organizational abilities. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and PPE. Basic proficiency with computers and inventory software. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented logistics setting. Must be dependable and have a proactive approach to tasks.
