We are hiring a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. This role is crucial for managing the flow of goods in and out of our facility. You will be responsible for accurately receiving incoming shipments, inspecting goods for damage, stocking inventory, preparing outgoing shipments, and maintaining organized receiving and shipping areas. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential for success. This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs, standing, and moving throughout the warehouse. Your commitment to workplace Safety and the proper use of PPE is non-negotiable. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills within the Logistics sector. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Accurately document all received items.
- Stock received inventory in designated locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments.
- Generate shipping labels and required documentation.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery.
- Maintain clean and organized receiving and shipping areas.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear all required PPE at all times.
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in shipping/receiving or a similar warehouse role is preferred. Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and Lifting up to 50 lbs regularly. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. Commitment to workplace Safety and proper use of PPE . Good communication skills. Ability to follow instructions and procedures. Knowledge of basic Logistics principles. Punctual and reliable. Experience with inventory control methods. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks. Understanding of carrier requirements and documentation. Focus on efficiency and accuracy in all tasks. Experience with Logistics software or platforms.
